Bishop Michael Coyner of the Indiana Conference began the afternoon session on Monday by telling the gathered delegates and visitors that General Conference costs $1,388.89/minute. Moments later the Rev. Dr. Pamela Lightsey of Boston University School of Theology led a protest that brought business to a halt for nearly 30 minutes, during which time the East Ohio delegation prayed for “unity not division.”
